The walkthrough
Intake agents are the firm's front door. They answer new-case calls, capture the facts, check for conflicts and get the client signed. Here is an intake agent's shift in LitAxis.
01The shift starts here
The shift starts on the agent's own scoreboard: calls handled, talk time, leads worked and sign-ups for today, live, with nothing to look up.
02Who to call next
Next is the call list. Follow-up steps that are due come first, then the leads with the least time left on their statute, so nobody picks who to call by scrolling a spreadsheet.
03Take the call
Calls are taken in the call console. The caller, the line they dialled and the call timer sit in one bar, in the same app as the case file.
04Live transcript
As the caller talks, every word is transcribed, so the agent can stay in the conversation instead of typing notes.
05AI fills in the intake
AI pulls the incident date, injuries, insurance and liability facts from the conversation into the intake fields. The agent reviews them and adds them with one click. Typically, that replaces 10 to 15 minutes of after-call data entry per lead with a review.
06Conflict check before you go further
Before promising anything, the agent runs a conflict check on the caller and the other driver, against every client, party and adjuster in the firm.
07The lead, triaged
On the lead itself, AI triage reads the case: severity, liability, coverage questions, and what to ask on the callback.
08Hand off: sign the client
When the lead qualifies, the agent converts it to a case and sends the retainer for e-signature from the same screen. The case team inherits everything captured on the call.
09End of shift
At the end of the shift, every call has an outcome and a summary, so the next shift picks up exactly where this one left off.
Fewer screens, less typing, and every lead worked in the right order. That's intake in LitAxis.
